Danilo represents domestic and international private investors, individually or through their single-family or multi-family offices (SFOs and MFOs), as well private market sponsors and asset managers seamlessly integrating his longstanding experience with private investments, corporate governance, ESG & sustainability compliance, public-private partnerships, charitable planning, as well as M&A and real estate transactions in the United States and Europe.
When assisting families of substantial wealth in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Danilo’s work includes the structuring and operations of their SFOs, MFOs, and long-term capital vehicles, including their direct investments, co-investments and joint ventures in a variety of private investment funds and vehicles. Danilo also assists them with their corporate governance matters, regulatory and securities law compliance, formation and administration of private foundations, and ongoing counselling and ancillary advice on a variety of issues, including crisis management, confidentiality, commercial contracts, and strategic introductions.
Danilo assists private market sponsors and asset managers with the launch, formation, and fundraising of domestic and offshore private investment funds, including private equity, credit, special situations, venture capital, real estate and infrastructure funds, qualified opportunity zone funds, and impact investing funds – many with complex structures attracting multibillion-dollar commitments. Danilo also assists private equity secondary investors on secondary transactions as well as private investment fund joint ventures and investments in private equity sponsors.
Prior to Griffitts LLP, Danilo practiced with the most reputable large law firms in their offices in Milan, London, and New York City. Danilo serves on the board of directors and advisory boards of several reputable impact investing institutions.
